It is rewarding to know that as we achieve success, we are able to contribute to improving our planet. ESG is a vital part of Red Oak’s investment platform today because creating a more sustainable environment makes sense from many perspectives. That’s why we are incorporating sound ESG policies and practices to help us compete for talent, build better communities, as well as manage investment capital wisely.

One Dollar. One Tree. One Planet.

One Tree Planted is a non-profit organization focused on global reforestation.
Since 2014, One Tree Planted has more than doubled the number of trees planted each year, and are working with partners in North America, Latin America, Africa, Asia, Europe and the Pacific. The organization, with help from partners like Red Oak, have planted over 40,000,000 trees in more than 43 countries across the globe.

One Tree Planted points out that trees create clean air, water, and a more stable climate. They also increase biodiversity, health, and have a positive social impact for local communities. The organization created this campaign specifically for business partners to make a positive environmental impact with support from its community.

Socially-Responsible Lending

Red Oak’s ESG initiative also is supportive of efforts to improve communities by lending to sponsors who are focused on delivering affordable housing to meet soaring demand in markets around the country. Red Oak has backed local housing programs such as Washington, D.C.’s District of Columbia Housing Authority’s (DCHA) Housing Voucher Program that currently has a waiting list exceeding 10,500 people.
